The Heartbeats are a not-for-profit amateur athletic organization consisting of students in Northeastern Ohio . The Heartbeats are members of the United States Amateur Jump Rope Federation and the Amateur Athletic Union. The Heartbeats compete for recognition at the regional, national and international levels. The team competes in the USAJRF National Championship and the AAU Junior Olympics and is strongly involved in assisting the sport to eventually become an Olympic event.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Since the team was founded, it has risen to national and international prominence in the sport of jump rope. The outstanding achievements of the team in competition are complimented by their local, regional and national exposure from performances at parades, festivals and professional and amateur sporting events.

In 2008, the Heartbeats brought jump rope to America in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. For 2009, the Heartbeats invited jumpers from across America to join them.

Giving back to the community has always been a major goal of the Heartbeats. The team conducts performances each year


for schools and other community organizations.

 

Not to be overlooked is the dedication of the Heartbeats to the teaching the sport of Jump Rope to new generations of jumpers. The team has sponsored and participates in jump rope clinics throughout the United States and Canada .
